As per the request of Hiranyakashipu she entered into the fire along with Prahlada, but due to the grace of Lord Vishnu nothing had happen to Prahlada, but at the same time, Holika burnt in that fire. So from that day onward as a sign of victory of good over evil people celebrate Holi festival.
