Healthy Dark Chocolate Recipes

When we hear the name “Chocolate”, water comes in our mouth. Who doesn’t love chocolate? I guess, no one. After all, it has been a long-time favourite of children and adults too. In fact, nowadays people prefer more to eat chocolates rather than the traditional sweets.

Chocolate is the product of a long refining process. It begins with the cacao beans of the tropical tree, Theobroma cacao. These beans are fermented, dried, roasted and then ground to form cocoa butter, chocolate liquor or ground roasted cocoa beans.

You will find many types of chocolates. One of them is Dark Chocolate. It has its own health benefits. It contains at least 70% cacao which helps to keep the brain sharp, heart in perfect condition and provides shield to the skin from harmful Ultraviolet rays. Besides this, Cocoa reduces the risk of heart diseases by reducing the stroke and heart attack.

The health benefits of dark chocolate are not end here. It is very nutritious. The flavanols cocoa contained in dark chocolate have antioxidant effects which decrease the tenderness in the body and improve the heart function. It lowers the key factors in development of heart disease and helps to maintain the blood pressure by improving the blood flow. It also helpful in reducing weight.

Besides cocoa, dark chocolate also contains incentives like caffeine and theobromine but it doesn’t keep you awake at night as the amount of caffeine is very small as compared to coffee. Dark chocolate often contains some sugar also but the amounts are usually small. The darker the chocolate, the less sugar it will contain. So it also reduces the chances of diabetes.

Hiranyakashipu was a demon whereas his son Prahlada was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. So Hiranyakashipu decided to kill his son. He took the help of his sister Holika. She had the power of fire resistance. As per the request of Hiranyakashipu she entered into the fire along with Prahlada, but due to the grace of Lord Vishnu nothing had happen to Prahlada, but at the same time, Holika burnt in that fire. So from that day onward as a sign of victory of good over evil people celebrate Holi festival.

Holi is the festival of color, happiness, friendship and love. It brings everyone closer . People pour colours & Gulal on each other and drink thandai with bhaang in the name of Lord Shiva. Many types of food items & sweets are also prepared on this day.
