The full form of DASH is Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. Nowadays high blood pressure is becoming a serious health concern. In the late 1800s, a Swiss nutritionist and physician Maximilian Bircher-Benner discovered that he could cure his own jaundice by eating raw apples.
